GLEN is a leading mooring bollard supplier our mooring bollards are a simple and cost-effective way to fulfill mooring requirements to safely secure vessels alongside jetties, berths, wharves and harbors. Glen Engineering provides bollards with a range of design profiles, sizes and mooring line capacities to suit all mooring applications.
 
The shape of GLEN designed bollards has been refined with finite element techniques to optimize the geometry and anchor layout. Even at full working load, GLEN bollards remain highly stable and provide a safe and secure mooring operation.

TYPICAL MATERIALS FOR BOLLARD
Cast Steel and Cast Iron are commonest materials for bollards. Both of them can be used for various applications. GLEN does not recommend gray cast iron for bollard fabrication.

CAST STEEL
Cast steel copes better with cold climates. Minor repairs can be carried out by suitably qualified welders, and bollards may even be welded to existing steel structures. Regular inspection and maintenance may be required to ensure a long and trouble-free working life. Impact testing is strongly recommended for cold-weather applications.

DUCTILE CAST IRON
Spheroidal Graphite Iron has high resistance to corrosion and is economical choice per weight. SG Iron is more suitable for warmer environments. SG Iron bollards tend to weigh more due to a thicker cross-section. SG Iron can avoid coating damage and their surface allows for clearer cast-in details such as names and serial numbers
